Ignacio Masías

Raised in Huaraz, Peru, Ignacio Masías’ childhood in the highlands shaped a lifelong love for the Andes and a deep respect for its people. After studying finance at Wharton and working abroad, Masías returned to Peru to consult for Inkaterra before launching his own pop-up in the Sacred Valley. In 2006, he founded Andean, a hospitality brand rooted in the remote landscapes and living cultures of Peru. With a vision to offer refined stays in off-the-beaten-path places, his properties blend world-class service with authenticity, aesthetics, and a strong sense of place. Ignacio continues to explore Peru’s wildest corners—often with his three children by his side—while leading Andean’s evolution and crafting singular experiences that celebrate the country’s raw beauty and cultural richness.
