Gregory Gourdet

Gregory Gourdet is a three-time James Beard Award-winning chef, best-selling author, and television personality. As the Chef and Founder of Kann and Sousòl, he is best known for his trendsetting role in Portland, Oregon’s culinary boom, earning him the 2024 James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific. Kann received the 2023 James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant, and in 2025 was featured on both North America’s 50 Best Restaurants list (#27) and La Liste’s ranking of the world’s best restaurants. A Queens, NY native, he made his New York City restaurant debut in March 2025 as the Culinary Director of Printemps New York, overseeing all five of the luxury department store’s restaurants—each a celebration of artistry, unparalleled quality, innovation, culture, and creativity.
