Richard Godwin is a British journalist and drinks expert. He is the author of the classic cocktail book The Spirits: A Guide to Modern Cocktailing, and writes an award-winning weekly Substack on cocktails, also called The Spirits. His articles, reviews, interviews, and columns have appeared in publications including The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, Travel + Leisure, Vogue, Men’s Health, and Fantastic Man. He lives in Bristol, UK, with his wife and two sons.
