Marie-Louise Sciò

Marie-Louise Sciò studied architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design after graduating from Aiglon College in Switzerland. After beginning her career in New York and later working in Italy, she founded her own interior design studio in Rome before joining Hotel Il Pellicano in 2005. Through her creative leadership, she transformed Pellicano Hotels into one of Italy’s most celebrated luxury hospitality brands. She has served as CEO and Creative Director of the group since 2015. In 2020, she launched ISSIMO, a digital platform celebrating Italian culture, design, fashion, food, and travel. In 2025, she was named one of Fortune Italia’s 50 Most Powerful Women for her impact on contemporary Italian luxury and hospitality.
