Brandon Berkson

Born and raised in San Diego, Brandon Berkson’s passion for travel and boutique hotels was ignited at a young age. He began his career as a bellboy at a premier San Francisco inn before working in hospitality PR across Paris, London, and New York City. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, he launched Hotels Above Par, an expert-curated guide to the world’s most exceptional boutique hotels and indie travel experiences. What started as a small Instagram account showcasing unique stays has since blossomed into a thriving media company with over 400,000 readers. Berkson now calls NYC home and spends much of the year traveling, and he has a special fondness for Italy and Mexico.
